Walk or mountainbike the trails leading out into the forest from the farm. Ask for advice on suitable trails, or follow the signs to wherever takes your fancy.
Enjoy the flora and fauna – ferns, grasses, trees, tiny wildflowers... Look for butterflies, dwarf chameleons, reedbuck, fresh water crabs, and an abundance of tiny insects and interesting spiders.
A Twitchers’ delight – look and listen for the crowned eagle, fish eagle, green parrot, olive thrush, orange thrush, wood owl, grass owl, flufftail, blue swallow, nerina trogan, turacos and more. Take a pic or stop to ‘chat’.

Swim at Hippo Hollow – enjoy the small waterfall and natural pool – shallow enough for kids to splash, deep enough to cool off, with a mud puddle to entice toddlers and anyone keen for a mud fight!
Slack-line the river! Sounds easier than it looks, looks easier than it is!
Bring your courage and brave the foefie slide – a 220m zipline over the river. Climb into your harness and go!
Go for a night hike in the bush. The area is home to black-backed jackal, owl species, bush babies, and glow worms.
Have a bonfire behind the Lapa or up the hill across the swing bridge, overlooking the forested hills and grasslands. Braai stick bread and marshmallows, take a guitar..
Enjoy the indoor fireplaces on cold evenings. Huddle up on couches and tell stories into the night.

Bring your camera and capture the exquisite beauty of the clouds at sunset, a butterfly on a blossom, the river as it runs over the rocks, or a rainbow in the sky, the stars in motion, or a buck as it watches..
Host an event – parties (would your daughter like to be a ‘flying princess’? Friends stay over and you all foefie slide) – reunions – enough accommodation for the whole family! Matric holiday – space for relaxing and adventure. Small weddings – outdoors, in a tent (local hire available), or one day in a chapel yet to be built. Team building, bosberaad, church camps, retreats... You name it - we will accommodate you.
